Adult Trauma & Orthopaedics
Trauma ranges from sprain and hairline crack to high-energy road accidents and polytrauma. I begin with calm triage, pain control and a structured clinical examination. We confirm diagnosis with focused X-ray first, then CT or MRI if the pattern, joint involvement or soft-tissue status is unclear. Initial care includes splinting, swelling control and safe mobilisation instructions.
Definitive treatment is individualised: many injuries heal well with plaster, functional bracing or traction; when surgery is best for safety and function, I use modern fixation (MIPO, interlocking nail, locking plates, external fixator) with soft-tissue-friendly techniques. My team simultaneously optimises diabetes, hypertension, anaemia, anticoagulation and nutrition, and coordinates anaesthesia and ICU support for high-risk cases.
I personally counsel you and your family about timelines, expected milestones (pain reduction, wound healing, weight bearing), work/return-to-activity plans and fracture-specific risks (stiffness, DVT, infection, non-union). We offer clear, tiered cost options without compromising safety. Rehabilitation starts day one: breathing exercises, joint motion, muscle activation and gait aids. Follow-up includes wound checks, suture removal, repeat imaging, vitamin D/calcium guidance and fall-prevention advice.
Stay hopeful. With steady care and patience, strength and confidence return. We walk the recovery road together.
